You will be responsible for the coordination and management of Marketing Communications projects from concept to implementation. You will coordinate Marketing Communications project schedule, operational needs, and other initiatives with oversight and management of project management software and office workspace. Additionally, you'll provide strategic and execution support of Fort Wayne Metals trade show activities as needed in backup role to Marketing Specialist. Also, you will provide marketing communications content QC support.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, business management or another related field; or equivalent demonstrated skills and experience, required.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee, prioritize and track active projects in the Marketing Communications department in close coordination with the Marketing Communications Manager. Develop and manage project plans, including responsibilities and milestones.
- Set, communicate, and manage project schedules that meet Fort Wayne Metals’ and external stakeholders’ requirements, while maintaining a reasonable and efficient project schedule for Marketing Communications Team members without compromising quality. Ensure deadlines are met or managed through regular communication of updates.
- Continually evaluate and prioritize multiple concurrent Marketing Communications projects based on team workload and influx of new projects.
- Maintain and update our “single source of truth” knowledge repository when new or updated information becomes available. Ensure accuracy and consistency of information in all communication channels. Interface with subject matter experts throughout the company to verify the continued accuracy “single source of truth” information.
- Collaborate with Commercial Leadership team and Marketing Communications Specialist to negotiate and secure event and trade show space.
- In collaboration with Marketing Operations Coordinator, assist with management of the sample supply system for Fort Wayne Metals’ sales representatives by monitoring and filling orders, developing new samples, and maintaining adequate stock levels.
- Assist Marketing Communications team members with administrative support such as expense reports, requisitions, as well as orders of giveaways and other Fort Wayne Metals-branded items.
- Quality control and proofreading of written, audio, and visual communications to ensure that all communication is free of errors in fact, grammar, punctuation, and style.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Fast-paced office environment.
- Work hours consist of 40 hours per week; overtime may sometimes be necessary.
- Infrequent travel may be required.
- Majority of time spent working at desk using a computer; unless working at an event where this position is likely to be on feet frequently.
- Must be able to access all areas of FWM, including second floor locations, as well as offsite event locations.
