What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer 2025 Internships - Engineering Corporate position at FORT WAYNE METALS RESEARCH?
We’re glad you’re exploring our Engineering Coporate internship opportunity and want to share some of the details.
As an Engineering Corporate intern, you will be responsible for adhering to customer requirements, regulatory requirements, and Fort Wayne Metals documented processes. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a number of departments researching, documenting and training on standardization of processes, machines, and products. Depending on the department you are placed in, you’ll be able to research, analyze findings, conduct trials, test materials and make recommendations on materials, machines, processes, and products. An eye for detail is important as you record findings and document changes to processes and products to ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements.
You’ll have the opportunity to work in departments like Quality Engineering, Materials Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering or Research & Development Engineering. We are looking for students pursuing degrees in the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field. Applicants should be interested in pursuing a regulatory/materials/research and development Engineering career. If you think you might like working in a regulatory environment, managing compliance, documentation, and conducting research, this is an ideal internship for you. Because the majority of our work is in the medical field, regulations and compliance are the name of the game.
We have several Engineering Corporate internship opportunities available for the summer of 2025. The projects vary for each position based on the needs of the company. If you are selected as an intern, you’ll be placed with a team and on a project that your interview panel believes will be the best fit for your skill set.
As a Wired for Success intern, you'll dive into dynamic, project-based work. If selected, you’ll be matched with a team and project that aligns with your unique skills and interests. Every position offers a fresh challenge based on the company's current needs. Previous interns have led exciting initiatives such as organizing large-scale events, engineering cutting-edge machines, designing innovative buildings, and so much more. Because we depend on our interns to perform meaningful, project-based work, we seek highly motivated, hardworking, team-oriented, enthusiastic people who will contribute to our ongoing growth and success.
