Dental Front Desk Receptionist

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and administrative support within a dental office environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of dental terminology, and experience with office management systems. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Duties

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
• Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar using office management software.
• Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members.
• Maintain patient records accurately while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
• Assist with the preparation of care plans and documentation as needed.
• Utilize medical dental management systems such as Open Dental for patient data entry and retrieval.
• Support administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

• Proficiency in dental terminology is preferred.
• Experience in dental office management or similar administrative roles is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with care plans and medical documentation processes.
• Knowledge of electronic health record systems such as Open Dental is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
• Previous experience providing dental administrative support is advantageous.
