What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fraud Manager position at Fort Worth Community Credit Union?
Work Hours and Location: Monday - Friday: 7:45am to 4:30pm. Hours may vary slightly depending on current projects and deadlines. This is an exempt level position. The work location is on-site at FTWCCU Headquarters in Bedford, Texas.
Summary: The Fraud Manager reports to the VP – Operations and oversees the Fraud Analyst department. The position is responsible for operational support duties of the department and assists in originating, implementing, and maintaining the Credit Union's fraud management program to ensure conformity and adherence with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Main duties include: performing complex research and analysis of various reports and systems for fraud monitoring; assisting in the coordination and support of fraud audits and examinations; ensuring compliance with fraud policies and procedures; performing investigations of fraud claims and assisting members and staff in the timely resolution of these matters; facilitating updates to processes and systems for continuous improvement of fraud detection; supervising the Fraud Analyst staff to ensure prompt and effective service to our members.
Requirements: Candidate must have 3-5 years relevant/preparatory financial institution experience, preferably in a credit union, which specifically includes experience with fraud prevention, including an in-depth understanding of relevant regulations (Reg CC, Reg E, ID Theft/Red Flags, BSA/AML, UCC, etc.). A college degree in a relevant field is also required (or equivalent experience/certifications). In addition, this position requires a professional demeanor; the ability to communicate sensitive information with clarity and tact, both verbally and in writing; the ability to solve complex problems and balance multiple priorities; excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
