What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teller Manager position at Fort Worth Community Credit Union?
Work Hours and Location: The hours are generally Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm, and two Saturdays per month 8:30am – 12:30pm. Must be willing to work extended hours as needed. This is an exempt level position. The work location is on-site at our Headquarters in Bedford, Texas; however, travel to any of our other locations is required whenever necessary. Mileage is reimbursed according to company policies.
Summary: Under the supervision of the AVP - Branch Manager at HQ, the Teller Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the Teller Department. This includes direct supervision of HQ and Float Tellers, as well as general oversight of all tellers in the organization.
Description: Major responsibilities include: maintaining, balancing, and securing the vault and ATMs; ensuring the night drop is processed twice daily, receiving/accounting for cash shipments, replenishing and monitoring teller cash, performing teller drawer audits, serving as a teller when needed, and overall management of teller operations.
This position is responsible for keeping up with all current regulations and laws relevant to teller operations and ensuring all teller staff are updated/informed by conducting monthly teller meetings. The Teller Manager prepares the Float Teller schedules to ensure proper daily coverage at all locations, and also prepares/distributes the Saturday schedule.
The Teller Manager makes recommendations on performance appraisals for HQ Tellers and Float Tellers and keeps the AVP-Branch Manager at HQ informed of any issues impacting teller operations. Additional responsibilities include coaching/correcting teller staff, assisting with complex transactions, and ensuring outstanding member service.
Requirements: Must have 3-5 years relevant/preparatory financial institution experience, preferably in a credit union, which specifically includes experience with teller operations and understanding of relevant regulations. In addition, this position requires a professional demeanor; the ability to communicate sensitive information with clarity and tact, both verbally and in writing; the ability to solve complex problems and balance multiple priorities; excellent organizational skills, proficiency with all required technology/systems, attention to detail, and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
