The Specialty Business Relationship Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with customers and Managing General Agents (MGUs), while ensuring internal operational needs are met. This role serves as a key connection between external partners and internal departments, including Operations, Underwriting, and Account Management. The BRM leads the onboarding of new clients, manages business data uploads across various platforms (F&I, Web Warranty, AS400), and ensures accurate reconciliation and cash application. A strong background in data analysis tools, data transformation, automation, and SQL-based platforms is essential. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and client-focused, with a strong commitment to operational efficiency and service excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in account management, client relations, or operation support within insurance, finance or a related industry.
Primary Job Functions:

Perform detailed monthly reconciliations of accounts, resolving discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.

Oversee cash application processes and ensure proper tracking of incoming and outgoing payments.

Work closely with the Operations, Underwriting, and Account Management teams to coordinate deliverables and improve workflows.

Identify client and internal needs, proposing process improvements and solutions to enhance efficiency and satisfaction.

Utilize Microsoft Excel (advanced level), Power Query, and TOAD (or similar SQL tools) for data management, transformation, and reporting.

Generate operational and financial reports as needed for internal stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all activities.

Knowledge of F&I product structures and MGU business models.

Familiarity with insurance or warranty products and operations.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
