Job Summary
The Mold Maker is responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining in-house molds and tooling under limited supervision. The role involves working with precise specifications and tolerances to ensure high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with cGMP and safety regulations.
- Maintain work area cleanliness and detailed task logs.
- Analyze blueprints and inspect molds for accuracy.
- Assemble, repair, clean, and modify molds and components.
- Operate CNC lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
- Troubleshoot mold-related issues (flashing, venting, cooling, etc.).
- Work with precision measuring instruments and machining techniques.
- Recommend design improvements and collaborate with other departments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a mold/tool maker.
- Strong knowledge of molding processes and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with tool room equipment and mechanical skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
- Good mathematical aptitude and computer skills.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and operate machinery for extended periods.
Preferred Skills
- Pharmaceutical and ISO knowledge.
- Injection molding experience.
Other Requirements
- Occasional travel may be required.
