Job Responsibilities
The Professional Services Consultant daily activities include but are not limited to:
- Assisting client staff with day to day Fortinet products operation/ support
- Development of methods of procedure (MOPs) for migrations, upgrades and updates
- Development of test plans and test new features and/or releases
- Verifying configurations and implementing best practices
- Performing interoperability evaluation of devices that interact with Fortinet products
- Training and knowledge transfer to client staff
- Develop and maintain core competency on Fortinet's product line and technologies
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
Requirements
- 7 Years experience in LAN/WAN /Internet consulting, support and/or administration
- 5 Years experience with Network Security Products
- 2 Years experience with Fortinet products
- Experience working as a Professional Services Consultant/ Engineer a plus
- Solid understanding of security and networking principals and technologies such as:
- Network Security Infrastructure - Switching, Routing, Load Balancing, WiFi
- Security systems - Firewall, IPS, VPN, Antivirus, AntiSpam, Web Filtering, Application Control
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Outstanding oral communication and presentation skills
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- React to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
- Flexible during times of change
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments
- Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity
- Strong commitment and self-driven individual
- Able to travel as needed
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related work related experience
