Summary

The Commercial Loan Administrator will be responsible for facilitating the commercial loan closing process for various lending teams across the organization. In addition to performing necessary due diligence, the Commercial Loan Administrator will be responsible for adherence to bank regulatory requirements and preparation of loan documents. The ideal candidate will be highly detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines and provide excellent client service.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with lending teams to confirm receipt of acceptable entity documentation, UCC searches, title insurance, flood certificates, etc.
Produce LaserPro loan documentation and / or review attorney prepared loan documentation, ensuring it is in accordance with approved credit presentation and adheres to bank policy
Coordinate the execution of loan documents along with the funding and booking of commercial loans through collaboration with internal and external customers
Maintain a working knowledge of Commercial Loan due diligence, risk management requirements, and loan policy and procedure
Process various loan files including Commercial Real Estate, Commercial and Industrial (C&I), Construction, Self-Directed IRA, and SBA.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a loan administration department or as a commercial loan closer is strongly preferred, although a combination of related experience and education may meet requirements

Experience with Laser Pro software and attorney prepared loan documentation is preferred.

Experience with the nCino Loan Origination System is preferred

Experience with a broad range of commercial loan products, including Commercial Real Estate, Commercial and Industrial (C&I), Construction , Self-Directed IRA and SBA Lending is preferred

Excellent data entry and computer skills, including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel).

Strong ability to grasp concepts and processes

Embodies the Fortis Bank culture principles and competencies and consistently demonstrating a positive, ambitious, and solution-oriented attitude with clients and team members.

Proficient and experienced in Microsoft Office suite products and technology, including but not limited to : Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Strong ability to adapt to systems and technology, including but not limited to : client relationship management tools, banking core systems, and other common office management products.

Communicates effectively and professionally, both verbally and via e-mail and other chat tools.

Excellent organizational skills, regularly demonstrating the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build meaningful professional relationships with senior management and team members.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Reporting Structure : Reports to the Commercial Loan Administration Manager

Office Requirements : This position is required to work from a Fortis Bank office location at least 3 days per week
