OCCUPATION: Wireline Engineer
The Wireline Engineer works on a wireline unit and is responsible for servicing oil and gas wells. Duties include driving the crew vehicle, assisting in rigging-up and down, and operating the wireline unit/components as necessary. All duties are to be performed according to operating procedures to maximize safety and to efficiently perform the task.
Essential Functions of Job:
- Load out supplies and necessary equipment for upcoming jobs
- Assist in rigging up/down equipment.
- Supervise Wireline Operators in order to ensure safe work habits.
- Operate the wireline unit and computer system for various wireline tasks.
- Carry out assembly/teardown operations on hardware used to perform the wireline job including setting tools, perforating guns, tools, etc.
- Handle explosives in a safe manner as instructed by the safety training.
- Complete all paperwork including JSAs, Operation Documentation, Field Tickets, and
Explosives Paperwork. - Clean all equipment after the completion of a job and report any mechanical issues.
- All other duties as assigned.
