This role will report to the VP, Investments Quality Assurance. The team is responsible for driving projects that encompass multiple functions, including the coordination of the preparation of periodic financial results, expense management, functional excellence and the deployment and maintenance of a well-controlled environment to deliver executional excellence. This role will be an integral part of the Investments team for market linked blocks and other Fortitude Re blocks of business.  This role will be based in our Jersey City, NJ office on a hybrid basis. 


What You Will Do:




  • Support internal and external projects to full, efficient completion, including documentation and improvement of processes.




  • Support a monthly process to provide financial results for the market-linked blocks of business.




  • Develop, improve upon, and utilize PowerPoint and Excel tools.




  • Perform analyses and generate reports using tools like SQL, Power BI and Python.




  • Peer review tools and report findings to the developing teams.




  • Support the TPA team in the oversight of FLIAC’s variable insurance block.




  • Become the subject matter expert for Software Development Life Cycle and the central project management tools.




  • Take ownership of the work product and foster rich relationships




  • Liaise with management, internal audit, and other teams, as needed.




  • Continuously improve efficacy of the team’s processes.




  • Provide ad hoc management reporting, presentations and analysis, as needed.




What You Will Have:




  • An undergraduate degree is required. A master’s degree in a finance related subject is a plus.




  • 5 years of experience with life insurance and annuity products.




  • Strong technical skills in Excel, PowerBI, SQL and/or Python.




  • Experience with financial analysis and modeling is a plus.




  • Project management experience.




  • Demonstrated success working in collaborative teams and in working with cross-functional teams




  • Entrepreneurial.




  • Desire to work in a ‘start-up’ environment




  • Desire to deliver a complete work product




  • Strong oral and written communication skills




  • Organized and strong sense of urgency




  • Highly motivated and results-oriented




  • Strong analytical skills

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.  

Base Salary Range: $120,000 USD - $140,000 USD
