POSITION TITLE: Quality Assurance Senior Associate
REPORTS TO: Associate Director, Quality
LOCATION: Morristown, NJ
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Quality Assurance Senior Associate will report directly to the Associate Director, Quality and collaborate with Operations, Sales, Medical & Scientific Affairs, and Innovation. The ideal candidate is solution-oriented, consultative, and resourceful, with the ability to optimize both partner and customer experiences. Responsibilities include:
- Review and analyze SIDIs and support documentation, such as Specifications, SDSs, Flow Charts, Allergens, GMOs, BSE/TSE, Nutritional’s, Test Methods, and Third-Party Certifications.
- Conduct product and supplier approvals in line with SOPs and regulations.
- Manage the change control process by reviewing supplier changes, securing updated documentation, and ensuring timely notifications are sent to Sales and customers.
- Assist with customer documentation requests related to product and facility inquiries.
- Ensure customer specifications align with supplier specifications for product approvals, orders, and customer requests.
- Oversee the Product Release process to confirm all products meet specifications and testing requirements before release.
- Upload and maintain current technical documents and data within Compliance Quest.
- Support sample requests to ensure proper receipt, storage, stocking, and dispatch with required documentation.
- Perform other tasks as requested by the Associate Director, Quality and Vice President, Quality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: A degree is not required for this position.
- Experience: 3-5 years in Food Industry Quality Assurance.
- Certification: PCQI certification is required (non-negotiable).
- Skills and Abilities:
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with U.S. FDA food and dietary ingredient regulations, HACCP/HARPC, manufacturing processes, and test procedures.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Quality Management software (e.g., Compliance Quest) preferred, with the ability to learn and adapt to the new software required.
TARGETED COMPENSATION RANGE:
- Base Salary: $70,000 - $75,000
- Bonus: 5% - 10%
