The Vice President Finance Business Partner - Life and Annuity is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the life and annuity segment within a multi-line reinsurance company. This role requires a deep understanding of the reinsurance industry, life and annuity products, and actuarial principles. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Actuary to drive financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic decision-making. Additionally, the role will serve as a conduit between finance and actuarial, presenting to the Life & Annuity business leader and executive leadership on all actuarial matters related to the life and annuity business. This role will be aligned to our Nashville, TN office on a hybrid basis.
What You Will Do :
- Financial Leadership : Provide strategic financial leadership for the life and annuity business line, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
- Segment Support : Collaborate with the actuarial team to ensure accurate pricing, reserving, and risk management for life and annuity products.
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and standards, including financial reporting and solvency regulations.
- Performance Management : Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Strategic Planning : Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives including development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive growth and profitability in the life and annuity business.
- Stakeholder Communication : Communicate financial results and strategic plans to internal and external stakeholders, including the board of directors, investors, and regulatory bodies.
- Team Leadership : Lead and mentor within a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.

165,000-$215,000 USD
