Fortrea is seeking to expand our successful pharmacovigilance business through the creation of a new commercial roles in our EU and US Business development teams. Reporting to one of the regional sales leaders, you will join a team of business development professionals across Top 100, mid size and biotech clients, helping them expand their product portfolios into the postmarketed PV space by creating bespoke solutions tailored to our clients needs. The successful candidates will be experienced sales and business development professionals, with significant expertise in the pharmacovigilance industry and the latest solutions offered.

Job Specification Summary
- Overall business development responsibility for Patient Safety Solutions (PSS) group including our account level approach for presales, sales, budget development, bid defenses and safety consultation, in close collaboration with safety leadership/ SMEs, account teams, and business development colleagues.
- Establish and manage regional PV account plan
- Work on alliance accounts and top100 and an extension of the commercial team
- Work across biotech portfolio plans with designated territory biotech business development
- Scout for new business opportunities and facilitate growth of existing relationships with tailored and targeted strategies, with safety domain knowledge and sales experience.
- Develop growth strategy and measures performance to support the PSS leadership team achieve the departmental sales and revenue targets.
- Manage and develop proposal and contract related process and tools for PSS.
- Evaluate quotations for territory and provide input to ensure client and company requirements are met.
- Provide specific PV intelligence on key competitors, and supports the commercial teams to differentiate Fortrea and demonstrate gain in market share.
- Demonstrate effective cross selling across Fortrea’s portfolio of services.
- Collaborate with companywide resources to achieve superior customer satisfaction.
- Effective use of SFDC to manage internal communication and document territory and client information as required for the business unit.
- Responsible for Opportunity Management and accurate pipeline forecasting.
- Collaborate effectively with sales executives from other Fortrea units to bring potential opportunities to their attention and to identify and win multi-unit projects.
- Participates in proposal scope development as appropriate.
- Client based to include domestic, regional or transatlantic responsibilities.
- Leads client presentations/meetings/BDMs
- Educational background: Advanced degree in Health-care/ life sciences, pharmacy, or a related healthcare field preferred.
- Clinical research experience: Proven experience in selling clinical trials, including knowledge of study design, data collection, and analysis.
- Drug safety expertise: Thorough understanding of drug safety principles, adverse event reporting, and pharmacovigilance practices. Exposure to all safety processes from clinical to post approval stages.
- Regulatory knowledge: Familiarity with relevant regulatory guidelines related to clinical trials and drug safety.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Advanced commercial industry knowledge across biotech, mid and large Pharma.
- Demonstrated client break-in and retention skills.
- Demonstrated success in cross functional selling.
- Ability to differentiate organization from competitors.
- Ability to maintain a strong working relationship with internal Fortrea management and site leadership.
- Strong financial acumen: delivering business results in a commercial environment.

- Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.
- Experience in Drug Safety/ Pharmacovigilance domain and SME level of understanding of the postmarketed PV field.
- 5 years sales (or relevant) experience selling services directly to the pharmaceutical and biotech section with direct interaction with mid-level and executive level decision makers.
- Proven track record of achieving significant sales targets and managing high-value client accounts.
- Speaking: Fluent English Required
- Writing/Reading: Fluent English Required
