- Review details of the ESR received from the VA.
- Review medical and service records.
- Determine if further clarification is needed and submit clarification requests to the VA.
- Once the case is ready for further processing, work with claimants and collaborate with clinic staff to complete, manage, and monitor scheduling of the necessary appointment(s).
- Ensure the completion of the exam and submission of the necessary exam information into the review process.
- Maintain a working understanding of potential issues that could arise in the processing of the case.
- Collaborate with staff from exam facilities and other cross-project workstreams to facilitate efficient, accurate, timely, and complete case handling.
- Excellent customer service, leadership, and team interaction skills required
- Demonstrated ability to coach team members to higher levels of performance
- Must have the ability to organize simultaneous tasks for individual assignments and the workflow of others within the unit
- Proven ability to work as a team member
- Commitment to contributing to the VA's mission and supporting Veterans through the MDE program.
- Associate's degree preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1 - 2 years of Customer Service or Contact Center Scheduler experience required
