What are the responsibilities and job description for the QC Inspector II position at Forum Energy Technologies?
Summary:
Inspect parts, assemblies and subassemblies to engineering drawings and prints. Initiates non-conformance reports on all parts and assemblies that are not to engineering drawing and print specifications. Assures that manufactured units meet quality control procedures, engineering specifications and customer requirements. Completes, inspects and distributes all quality records and documents. Perform specialized testing as required. Developing knowledge and problem-solving skills. Works independently under minimal supervision. Other duties as assigned.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints for the purpose of performing in-process and final inspection and testing of API 5CT products and API 5B threads.
- Proficient use of Measuring and Testing Equipment, including calipers, OD/ID micrometers, MRP gauges.
- Ability to perform calibrations on measuring equipment .
- Follow shop routers/work order to schedule sequence inspection/testing operations.
- Perform Receiving, In-process, Final Inspection and testing utilizing engineering specifications.
- Document Receiving, In-process and Final Inspections.
- File and maintain all Quality Control records.
- Perform essential duties following the Quality Management System.
- Report and document nonconformance or potential problems relating to the quality of product and/or the QMS.
- Perform work in a professional and safe manner.
- Report on unsafe work practices.
Skills/Knowledge
- Knowledge of visual and dimensional inspection, testing and manufacturing.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- 3 years of related experience.
