Position: HR Generalist Location: Chattanooga, TN
Overall Responsibilities and Duties: As an HR Generalist at Forvia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth HR operations and compliance with our Group's policies and procedures. Your main missions will include:
- Personnel Administration: Assist the HR Manager in managing personnel administration, implementing group HR policies, and addressing staffing issues and industrial relations.
- Action Plans: Propose and participate in the deployment of action plans to enhance HR processes.
- Reporting: Collect information and prepare reports in line with Group HR policies for month-end figures and follow-up indicators.
- Compliance: Ensure the organization complies with labor laws and regulations.
- Employee Administration: Manage personal files, employee documentation, and assist in weekly payroll duties and related reporting.
- Timekeeping Management: Ensure accurate payroll timekeeping and process relevant data (overtime, absenteeism, holidays, etc.).
- New Hire Enrollments: Conduct new hire enrollments and training sessions.
- Employee Queries: Maintain employee files and answer queries related to payroll.
- Training Data: Assist in tracking training data for all departments and prepare weekly and monthly reports.
- FMLA/STD Administration: Administer and track FMLA and STD (US only).
- HR Correspondence: Prepare HR correspondence and plant communications.
- Temporary Workers: Collect working hours of temporary workers.
- HR Initiatives: Participate in other HR initiatives as assigned by the Site HR Manager or Site Plant Manager.
- Health Safety & Environment (HSE): Participate in training or HSE issues if necessary.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree (US) / Licenciatura (Mexico) in Human Resources or equivalent.
- Experience: A first experience in the HR function within an industrial environment.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Good knowledge of employment law.
- Familiarity with HR information and payroll systems.
- International mindset.

- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in English.
