Description & Requirements
We are looking for a Managing Director to join our team in the Outsourced Accounting Services team. This leadership position offers you an excellent opportunity to collaborate with clients and co-workers by providing Unmatched Client Experience in a positive and rewarding environment.

How you will contribute:
- Leadership
- Contribute to the creation of, and execute on, the strategic vision for the local office's Outsourced Accounting Services department
- Collaborate with local leaders to align department goals with office and service line goals
- Be responsible for business development of Outsourced Accounting Services in the local office
- Initiate and establish strong relationships with local leadership team to serve as a go-to resource as additional service needs arise
- Represent Forvis Mazars positively in the professional and business community
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and tailoring services accordingly
- Oversee outsourced accounting services engagements, ensuring a commitment to unmatched client experiences
- Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of outsourced accounting professionals, including on-going training, feedback, and professional development
- Service Delivery:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the local Outsourced Accounting Services team
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of work product, including an effective environment of quality control
- Consult to assess and make recommendations to client's current accounting system, processes, and procedures
- Assist clients with management reporting including budgeting, KPIs and other metrics, including internal review of such reports
We are looking for a team leader who has Forward Vision and:
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and handle numerous time-sensitive projects
- Has excellent presentation and communication skills to effectively present to C-level management, public groups, and/or board of directors
- Aptitude and passion to teach, train, and develop others
- Ability to travel as needed (to client locations, Forvis Mazars practice offices and/or conferences)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience including both:
- Public accounting - Outsourced Accounting or Assurance
- Industry accounting - System operations, monthly/period processing and closing, and financial statement preparation and analysis
- Ability to learn navigate several accounting packages and add-on platforms
- Business development experience and demonstrated success
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with accounting software(s) including QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, and NetSuite
- Expertise in these software packages, including certifications strongly preferred
- CPA, CGMA, or CMA certificate preferred
