Innovation Product Owner

Description & Requirements

As a Product Owner, you will serve to assist in completing key initiatives in the areas of product design, product strategy, product road mapping, and product management for potential firm innovation opportunities. You will execute and own prioritized opportunities to help the firm grow a product portfolio that can be taken to market to assist clients in solving critical problems.

How You Will Contribute

• Facilitate Definition and Design Workshops with critical stakeholders to define product personas, establish and prioritize potential features, build customer journey maps, and build mock-ups/pretotypes for potential solutions
  
  
• With the assistance of a Product Manager, take product concepts with minimal definition and, working with firm SMEs, define them enough to create a product vision and strategy for possible development
  
  
• Adhere to desirable UI/UX standards with positive client experience and usability as the driving force when designing solutions
  
  
• Use tools, internal reviews, and client/prospect demos and discussions to receive validation for solutions to move towards securing firm funding for development
  
  
• Work alongside product development resources (internal and 3rd-party) in the execution of product development efforts against defined functional requirements
  
  
• Execute agile product development efforts (stand-ups, planning, grooming/refining, sprint demos, retrospectives, etc.) on assigned products
  
  
• Assist the Innovation Product Manager as they define a product vision and differentiation strategy for given products
  
  
• Participate in the QA of developed and purchased solutions to ensure features and functions meet requirements and have been optimized
  
  
• Assist the Product Manager with appropriate areas of a product strategy plan for new product concepts to secure funding for development from the governance group
  
  
• Where appropriate, investigate 3rd party solutions for some or all of the product deliverables being developed, assisting the Innovation department and Product Management leadership in brokering agreements for licensing and utilization
  
  
• Assist and support the Go-to-Marketing planning, launch, and execution of near-to-market products currently in development, working with necessary stakeholders to complete known tasks
  
  
• Provide thoughts on the priority order and flow of products for consideration (in designing and development) that will be assigned by Product Manager to aligned Product Owners for facilitating
  
  
• For assigned products in Product Manager's portfolio, assist in establishing a product-level backlog for work activities and future enhancements/maintenance opportunities on products in the portfolio

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, entrepreneurship, engineering (multiple specialties), business, business administration, economics, information technology, business analysis, or a related study, or equivalent experience
  
  
• Minimum of one year of experience in experience in designing and developing solutions
  
  
• 3 years prior experience in or knowledge of the professional services industry
  
  
• Exposure to multiple, diverse solution types (web app, mobile, analytics solutions, etc.)
  
  
• Knowledge of strategic new and emerging technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models
  
  
• Exposure to agile methods and processes and capability of supporting agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks, ideally taking account of technical and architectural debt

Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085)

Pursuant to Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range displayed is for the Colorado market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.
