Position : Human Resource AssistantJob Description : The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the business and human resources management in supporting the needs of the business. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas : liaison to payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding, policy implementation, and leaves of absence administration.Core Responsibilities & Duties : Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnelAnswers questions regarding personnel policies and proceduresProvides excellent service to employees and managers regarding human resource processes and employment matters by answering and responding to phone calls and emails timely and accuratelyProvides support in the administration of employee benefitsAssists in communicating benefits information to employeesSupports leave of absence administrationSupports the onboarding of new employees including communicating benefit eligibility information and employee benefit enrollmentRetains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the databaseMaintains personnel files and recordsMaintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employmentPerforms other related duties as required and assignedQualifications : High School Diploma or equivalentDemonstrated ability to accurately perform high volume and detailed workStrong organization and prioritization skillsProfessional oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and customer services skillsWorking knowledge of employment law and regulationsMinimum of 2 years related work experience in administrationProficient experience utilizing HRIS software, Microsoft Office Suite – specifically Excel, Outlook and WordAbility to maintain highly sensitive and confidential informationAvailable to work Monday – Friday; 10 : 00AM to 7 : 00PM Eastern Standard TimePreferred Qualifications : Minimum of 2 years related work experience in and human resourcesBachelor’s degree in related field preferredProficient verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish preferredForward Air is an Equal Opportunity employer.#INDAbout UsSince 1990, Forward Air has been a leading provider of ground transportation and related logistics services to the North American air freight and expedited LTL market.
