Job Title: Career and Training Support Coordinator
Job Summary: In this role, you will support individuals in pursuing their career and training goals. Working closely with a caseload of participants, the majority of your time will be spent coordinating support services and liaising with educational institutions. You will play a key role in connecting participants to the resources and contacts they need to achieve success in their career and training journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess participant eligibility and provide case management for individuals in programs like WIOA.
Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in ASSET, tracking program enrollment, participant progress, and goal achievement.
Support the recruitment and retention of program participants, ensuring program performance targets are met.
Build and maintain relationships with local employers to create job placement opportunities, work experience, and internship sites.
Market Job Center services to employers through phone, email, and in-person outreach.
Survey employers to understand their workforce needs and skill gaps, ensuring alignment with program offerings.
Attend business meetings and networking events to promote program benefits and establish employer partnerships.
Analyze local labor market trends and adjust services accordingly to support participants in securing employment in high-demand industries.
Monitor and follow-up with participants post-program completion to ensure continued success and retention for up to 12 months.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery and meet all program requirements.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing data and administrative tasks.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with employers and community partners.
Comfortable working independently, managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, ASSET software, and data management tools.
Ability to recognize risk factors such as AODA, domestic abuse, and developmental disabilities, providing appropriate referrals when needed.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support broader program goals.
Education & Experience:
Associate degree and at least 2 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
