Forward Slope Inc. currently has one (1) full-time opening for a DevOps Engineer II (Platform Engineer).
Location: San Diego
- Typically, on-site work will be 3 days per week.
This position has the option to work a 9/80 schedule, which is a compressed work schedule, with alternate Fridays off.
Job Description:
- Design and implement innovative technologies for automating, integrating, and delivering containerized web applications and services for the Department of Defense (DoD)
- Day-to-day efforts include working with highly talented professionals and subject matter experts to design, implement, and sustain mission-critical software systems that provide US Navy warfighters with the tools and resources for successfully planning and executing missions
Required Qualifications:
- Currently hold an active U.S. security clearance or be able to obtain one.
- CompTIA Security Certified
- Demonstrated 2-5 years DevOps experience with:
- Containerization (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Developing Helm Charts and Kubernetes YAML Manifests
- Infrastructure-as-Code (i.e., Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation)
- CI/CD automation tools (i.e., GitLab, Jenkins, Tekton, OpenShift Pipelines)
- Linux operating systems (i.e., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Automation and Scripting (i.e., Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Cyber security practices (i.e., Active Directory, HBSS, etc.)
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience with :
- Cloud computing infrastructure or development (i.e., AWS, Microsoft Azure)
- OpenShift Cluster management
- Configuring ODIC, SAML, or OAuth Applications
- Utilizing Atlassian suite or equivalent (i.e., JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Salary Range:
- $100,000-$130,000*
