What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk position at Foshee Residential Management Company?
Foshee Residential Management Company has an excellent opportunity for a full-time accounting clerk to assist our Accounts Payable Department. Foshee Residential is based in Montgomery, Alabama. This accounting clerk will assist in the day-to-day accounting functions for a group of Foshee owned and/or managed properties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reconciling monthly statements to ensure all bills and payments are processed properly
- Processing outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Ensuring credits are received for any outstanding memos
- Organizing and filing reports and other accounting documents
- Assisting with vendor 1099 filings and year end reporting requirements
- Performing weekly audits to ensure utilities are received and processed timely
- Processing resident security deposit reimbursements
- Performing daily errands for payments and deliveries
- Organizing and distributing copies of invoices and cleared payments as requested by
management
- Performing other related duties as required and
assigned by Supervisor / Controller.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- General accounting/accounts payable experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Able to multi-task and meet agreed upon deadlines
- Experience with RealPage Property Management Software preferred but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills that are effective and professional with vendors and team members.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting
- Multi-company experience a plus
- Ability to plan and organize work and carry it through to completion with attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation is required
