General Summary:
In this role you will be a critical contributor in our food distribution process by ensuring a spot-on scheduling process for “building” trucks (loading), creating effective produce pick practices, lining up the right players for the right customers, and process flows. You have a strong attention for detail, have the vision of an air-traffic controller, and can move and shake resources to make the lives of internal and external customers better. You operate with a high sense of urgency, and have the ability to handle stress, calm others and make magic happen.
What You’ll Do:

- Assists with the coordination of daily operational activities.
- Maintain RF Equipment; Sign In/Out RF equipment to employees pre/post shift.
- Use WMS to build trips and work assignments within trips along with assigning trucks and loading doors.
- Assign work assignment(s) to order selectors; must develop knowledge of order selectors abilities to manage the flow of operations; work assignments are issued and completed in sequence to ensure accurate pallet positions on truck.
- Collaborate with sales and customer experience to find solution for product shorts; includes working with inventory to verify quantity on shorts and suitable substitutions.
- Dispatch trips upon completion of all associated work assignments and short assignments; print and compile invoices, drivers manifest and pallet map for driver dispatch.
- Communicate critical information to night operations through pre-shift meetings along with strong follow through and feedback.
- Monitor inventory and par levels for operational supplies; forecasting supply and demand requirements to ensure stock availability.
