Job Description
Foster Garvey PC is seeking an experienced ECVC Attorney with at least 7 years of ECVC experience and a portable book of business to join its Business Group. This position will provide the attorney with a full-service bi-coastal platform to attract and grow a wide range of business and corporate clientele, as well as the opportunity to provide hands-on day-to-day close counseling of the Firm’s existing small and large business clients and to structure and lead sophisticated transactions in a wide variety of industry sectors. The candidate will have the opportunity to work regularly with talented attorneys across the Firm’s six offices.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in traditional corporate governance and counseling matters as well as extensive experience representing early-stage and emerging brands and companies, particularly with capital raise transactions covering a variety of private offerings, debt, and equity financing from friends and family, angel investors, venture capital funds, syndicates, and traditional banks. Public company, capital markets, securities, and M&A experience is a plus.

The annualized salary range for this position is $200,000 to $325,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate’s relevant experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

- A partial portable book of business is required;
- 7 years of experience in representing early-stage brands in capital raise transactions, including private offerings and financing from various investors, with additional expertise in public company matters, capital markets, and M&A;
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school and license to practice law required;
- Strong academic credentials and excellent analytical and writing skills;
- A client-service approach and exceptional communication skills;
- Enthusiasm to work as part of a diverse team or independently;
- The ability to manage significant individual responsibilities;
- The ability to work on and manage multiple projects at one time;
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Responsive and professional service.
