Foster-Glocester Regional School District is currently accepting applications for a Special Education Instructional Teacher Assistants (Summer)
July 7 - August 7, 2025 (Preschool, Intensive Academic/Life Skills programs)
July 14 - August 7, 2025 (Academic programs & Clinic services)
(Note: Start and/or end dates may be subject to change based upon assignment)
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
●Assist in implementing teacher/therapist-designed curriculum instruction, modifications and accommodations within
the school setting.
▪ Implement routines that facilitate increased independence in classroom activities and ambulation in the school setting
under the direction of the Physical and Occupational Therapists.
▪ Provide instructional and physical assistance as necessary in personal care routines (including toileting, hygiene and
dressing and may include lifting).
▪ Produce necessary materials for students under the direction of the special educator/ therapist.
▪ Participate in ongoing progress monitoring of student performance under the direction of the special
educator/therapist.
▪ Provide, as needed, safe and therapeutic Crisis Intervention, including the accurate completion of all required
documentation and follow-up activities.
▪ Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervising teacher and/or administrator.
