Associate Attorney

Summary

Foster Victor’s mission is to help our clients achieve their lifetime goals through holistic financial planning. The primary responsibility of this role is to service existing and new clients through dynamic output that inspires trust in our relationships.

Supporting Activities

·        Preparing legal deliverables, including:

1. Operating/Shareholders Agreement Summaries
2. Business Organization deliverables
3. Business Succession deliverables
4. Miscellaneous binder deliverables

·        Actively tracking Legal Engagement Life Cycle

·        Assisting with Agenda Prep and Case Prep Review

·        Sending information requests and data gathering emails to clients where appropriate.

·        Responding to client inquiries for documentation, meeting times, meeting coordination and basic introductions

·        Attending both client meetings and internal meetings

·        Presenting Operating Agreement Summaries or other corporate document review

·        Responsible for taking notes, saving to RedTail, and prepping follow-up emails for review

·        Capturing team tasks from meetings and adding to shared to-dos

·        Responsible for initial legal research/data gathering for on-going research projects or one-off client requests

·        Contract Review

·        Cultivate new advocate relationships annually

·        Tracking Advocate contacts quarterly

• Take on at least one research challenge/education initiative per quarter

Success Criteria

·        To become a trusted advisory team member and legal resource for team members and clients and function as interpreter

·        Abide by the four golden rules

·        Deliver Accurate output in a timely manner

·        Develop a follow up and task completion system so items do not fall through the cracks

·        Respond to all team emails and questions within 24 hours

Requirements

·        Bachelors Degree

·        Law Degree

·        2 Years of work experience in the legal field
