FAMILY COORDINATOR

Job Status: Full-time, exempt position
Reports to: Behavioral Interventionist Program Manager
Job Summary: The Family Coordinator provides case management to families in the Behavioral Interventionist (BI) Program
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Case Management
- Family satisfaction: proper support, advocacy, resources, communication
- Complete assessments, track client progress, adapting to family's needs
- Attend court & other meetings
- Match BI’s to homes, resolving issues, attend team meetings
- Help set up Meet & Greets, Shadow Shifts, Observation Shifts, etc.
- Plan/facilitate BI Monthly Staff Meetings
- Update BIC of family needs & changes that impact BI services
- Review Incident Reports with BIC
- Facilitate Referral Triage, Intake, Meet & Greets
- Complete Recommendation & Approval Letters for service
- Create Individualized Behavioral Plan for each client
- Provide intake process updates: when put on waitlist, approval, BI hiring process
- Complete quarterly meetings with each family
- Submit renewals on time
- Review Behavioral Plan, approval for any changes
- Complete/Submit End of Month Reports
- Complete Case Closure & Aftercare Follow-up meetings & documentation
- Review BI Quarterly Summaries
Outcome Planning/PQI
- Complete agency reports & statistics
- Track/report program outcomes & quality assurance
- Resource provider files are in compliance
- Enter all data necessary for the KU Research Study in SAM
- Upload all client documentation/updates in SAM
- Complete Incident Report Reviews
- Work with branch office to ensure program fidelity
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- MA/MS (or BA/BS 2 years in non-profit social service agencies) in social work, psychology, public administration, or related human services field
- Previous experience with at-risk populations required
- Familiarity with the child welfare system, preferred
- Setting priorities, creating efficiencies, guiding investment in people/systems
- Core understanding of program development, implementation & evaluation
- Outstanding organizational & planning skills
- Commitment to the principles of support & advocacy for foster & adoptive families
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Leadership, team management, interpersonal skills; ability to establish rapport/build trust
- Advocate for positive outcomes within multidisciplinary, diverse, dynamic professional teams
- Flexible, self-starter; multi-tasker, detail-oriented, can meet deadlines
- Model ethical/professional behavior at all times
- Participate in required meetings/professional memberships and trainings
- Experience with marginalized communities a nuanced understanding of systemic oppressions
- Flexibility/adaptability to meet the needs of a wide range of cultures, people, organizations
