Job Title: Environmental Services Manager, Residential Living
Department: Environmental Services
FLSA Status: Salaried, Exempt
Status: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 4:00PM. May include 1 weekend per month.
SUMMARY: Directs and coordinates activities of housekeeping staff, ensuring that quality services are provided to residents and that the services provided reflect the principles of the mission, philosophy and objectives of Foulkeways.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Have excellent working knowledge of departmental assignments in residential living areas including the Community Center and Fitness Center.
Provide daily supervision to staff in RL, Community Center and Fitness Center. Document assessments of work in these areas and follow up on any correction plans needed with staff.
Manages Guest Rooms on campus including reservations, confirmations, cleaning schedule and related charges. Performs weekly review of guest rooms to assess supplies that are needed and assures these supplies are provided and/or ordered.
Answers EVS phone lines and manages staff and resident requests and concerns.
Enters appropriate charges to residents on a monthly basis in operating systems. Reviews charges every month in billing systems.
Apartment inspections: visit with resident, document and share results with housekeeper. Follow up on any correction plan needed.
Schedules window treatment and carpet cleaning as requested. Assesses window treatments and carpets for cleaning and/or replacement and manages this process. Coordinates with other departments as needed, as well as resident.
Assist with ordering and inventory of janitorial supplies and linens and distribution of supplies to staff and various work areas. Responsible for approvals in Accounting system. Communicates with Director of EVS with concerns related to supplies such as pricing, availability, and use within department.
Participate in interviewing, hiring, and orientation of new staff. Carries out end of year reviews, ongoing coaching and disciplinary action as needed.
Assist with attendance records and payroll as needed.
Attend seminars and meetings as requested, both in-house and at other locations.
Work with residents and staff to maintain a good relationship with Housekeeping. Report problems to Director of Environmental Services.
Work with Director of Environmental Services to maintain good interdepartmental communication and relations.
Have basic working knowledge of Main Laundry system, Skilled Nursing and Personal Care buildings and work assignments in these areas.
Help provide daily supervision to staff in all areas and have ability to problem solve with staff.
Responsible for following the code of conduct that is the foundation for Foulkeways Corporate Compliance program; reporting any violations of the code or conduct of the compliance program; disclosing any personal violation of the code of conduct to the appropriate management staff; following the policies and procedures Foulkeways has established for meeting HIPAA regulations; reporting any violations of HIPAA regulations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma/GED required. Additional education and/or certifications preferred. Must have prior supervisory experience in the long-term care or hospitality field. Prefer some housekeeping/laundry experience. Proficient computer skills are required, with previous experience using the Microsoft Suite (WORD, EXCEL, Outlook, etc) preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must have excellent communication skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from residents, employees and outside vendors in English.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
