Position Summary
A leading operator in the Video Gaming Terminal (VGT) space is looking to add a driven and strategic Sales Executive to their team. This individual will play a vital role in expanding market presence by securing new partnerships with hospitality venues and other qualified stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a hunter mentality, thrives on building new relationships, and is energized by closing deals in a competitive environment.
This company has been a licensed gaming operator in Illinois since 2013, currently supporting over 230 partner locations. With a strong reputation and a commitment to delivering best-in-class service, the organization has become one of the most respected operators in the state.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Source and pursue new client opportunities in the greater Chicago area through outbound outreach, networking, and industry events.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads within the gaming and hospitality sectors.
Sales Execution
- Develop and execute personalized sales strategies aligned with revenue goals.
- Deliver compelling presentations and consultative sales pitches tailored to each prospect.
- Oversee contract negotiations and ensure all agreements comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements, including those of the Illinois Gaming Board.
Relationship Building
- Establish trust-based relationships with prospective clients and partners.
- Although this role focuses on new business acquisition, maintaining a positive presence in the broader market is expected.
- Collaborate with internal teams—including marketing, product, and operations—to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and evolving regulatory guidelines.
- Provide leadership with consistent updates on sales metrics, pipeline health, and revenue projections.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years in a B2B sales environment, ideally in tech, gaming, hospitality, or similar sectors.
- Demonstrated success in a new business development role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Excellent communication, persuasion, and presentation skills.
- Proficient with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Comfortable working independently and traveling regularly for client meetings and events.
- Willingness to travel locally within a 20-mile radius as needed to meet with prospects, attend meetings, and represent the company at in-person opportunities.
