Position Overview
The Collections Supervisor assists the AR Collections Manager with the oversight of the collections department. They supervise staff to ensure all money owed to the Company is billed and received correctly and in a timely fashion. The Collections Supervisor must have the expertise in evaluating customer accounts and handling escalated delinquent accounts. They must possess leadership skills as well as the ability to work in teams.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily credit operations and execute strategies to ensure timely collection of customer receivables
Ensure the integrity of the AR
Manage and collect a portfolio of accounts
Assist in the resolution of issues raised by collections coordinators
Drive performance of collections coordinators to achieve DSO and past due goals
Manage team’s performance including reviews and coaching
Train new employees on all processes
Assist in the implementation of best practices and methods to make sure there is quality and efficiency
Report daily, weekly, monthly AR and collections, by branch
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
3 years of relevant experience
Advanced computer skills in MS Office
Experience in the construction industry including AIA billings, 2nd tiers, retainage AR and closeouts.
Exceptional attention to detail, and talent for accuracy and precision
Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time to move with great efficiency
