What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Specialist position at Foundation Communities Inc?
Position Description:
The Procurement Specialist will support the procurement activities for Foundation Communities and its affiliates. This includes interacting with vendors and various members of the organization to ensure that purchasing aligns with organizational objectives.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Support departments with contract template maintenance
Sales tax applicability and exemption applications
Setup and edit vendors and coordinate receipt of complete vendor documents
SAM.gov check of new vendors
Process and Reference Procurement Documents
Develop and conduct Staff Training on procurement processes and procedures
Manage P Card systems and processes, including the ordering of new p cards, and changes to limits and coding
Vendor Certificate of Insurance collection and review
Develop and Maintain a preferred vendors list
Maximize utilization of cooperative purchasing (use of existing contracts already solicited and awarded by public agencies)
Communicate with vendors and perform research & maintenance
RFP template formulation, grading, and documentation
Respond to email, phone, and in person communications
Provide general administrative assistance
Other duties as needed / assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors Degree or applicable work experience
General computer proficiency required
1 – 2 years of experience in a procurement role
Microsoft experience, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word required
Preferred Requirements:
NetSuite experience is a plus
2 CRF 200 experience is a plus
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Constantly: walking, sitting at a desk, grasping/gripping, bending/stooping/squatting, finger dexterity, computer input, coordination of hand, eye & foot
Occasionally: reach above shoulder height, lift 20-30 lbs., do push/pull motions, and driving.
Compensation
$29.00/hour
