Resilient Careers in Forestry is a workforce development program designed to scale a system for training and placing qualified workers into high-quality jobs in the forestry and fire safety sector. Funded by the Economic Development Administration’s Good Jobs Challenge award and led by the Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC), Resilient Careers in Forestry (RCF) is expanding the capacity of a new Forestry program at Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC).
What You’ll Do
The Foundation for California Community Colleges is seeking an individual to join the Resilient Careers in Forestry program to connect Forestry students at LTCC to available RCF program benefits, collect and maintain student data needed for program reporting, collaborate with other LTCC program representatives, act as a student-centered liaison between FoundationCCC and LTCC.

What You’ll Do
The Foundation for California Community Colleges is seeking an individual to join the Resilient Careers in Forestry program to connect Forestry students at LTCC to available RCF program benefits, collect and maintain student data needed for program reporting, collaborate with other LTCC program representatives, act as a student-centered liaison between FoundationCCC and LTCC.
- Student support: Coordinate with the college library to manage the distribution and collection of Wi-Fi hotspots to eligible students, and with vendors to manage the distribution of fire boots to eligible students.
- Student Data Management: Ensure all Forestry students are appropriately tracked in the program’s data management system and conduct follow-up to capture this data if necessary.
- Coordination with LTCC programs: Work closely with LTCC’s public safety programs, the ADVANCE Transition Navigator, and counselors.
- Human-centered approach to supporting students.
- Ability to use and learn the program’s data management platform.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize projects while keeping appropriate personnel apprised of status on a regular basis.
