Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Workforce Development Program Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the planning, coordination, development, and execution of NPHF’s programs that actively promote the advancement of the healthcare workforce. This includes setting and meeting program goals and objectives, working within program budgets, and engaging stakeholders and program participants.
Responsibilities:
- Develop clear project timelines and complete activities within identified timeframes to meet program goals and objectives.
- Work with NPHF’s Executive Director and Fiscal Manager to create, monitor, and adhere to program budgets.
- Collaborate with NPHF staff, stakeholders, and partner agencies to ensure efficient program design and implementation, and to reduce duplication of effort with agencies that have similar program goals.
- Develop and maintain forms for collecting data including applications and surveys.
- Design and maintain streamlined processes for organizing, evaluating, interpreting, and sharing program data.
- Work with NPHF staff to review applications and award scholarships and stipends.
- Create and distribute informative outreach materials to promote workforce development programs including fliers, FAQ’s, and meeting announcements.
- Host regular stakeholder meetings to strengthen awareness of workforce development programs and recruit and retain participants.
- Participate in job fairs, academic recruitment, and other public events to promote workforce development.
- Committed to NPHF’s mission and enthusiastic about contributing to its programs.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills including planning, setting, and managing milestones, adhering to budgets, and achieving agreed-on outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills: gather and interpret data dealing with complex problems and situations; understand and interpret complex rules and regulations.
- Work effectively in a team: able to build partnerships and work collaboratively; integrate disparate viewpoints into creative solutions.
- Engage professionally with a variety of sectors: i.e., public officials, representatives of state and local government, medical staff, social workers, etc.
- Self-motivated; accept delegated decision-making responsibility; demonstrate creativity and critical thinking.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, public health, social work, or related field, and 2 years of work experience including program coordination required. NPHF will consider additional years of work experience in program coordination and community outreach if the applicant does not have a degree.
- Marketing and community organizing/outreach experience preferred.
