Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Life Skills Trainer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, providing support and guidance to help them achieve greater independence in their daily lives. Your primary focus will be on enhancing their life skills through tailored training programs, fostering a supportive environment that promotes personal growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized training plans that address the specific needs of each client.
- Provide direct support and encouragement to clients in various settings, including community, and educational environments.
- Facilitate social skills training to enhance interpersonal communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Monitor client progress and adjust training methods as needed to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to create a comprehensive support network for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, incidents, and any relevant observations.
- Employee must be able to be physically active throughout the day to support the needs of the clients, including bending and lifting mobility equipment
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
- Background in special education or behavioral health is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- A passion for helping others achieve their potential through patience and understanding.

Shifts are Monday-Friday 8:45-2:15 (Minimum 3 days/wk)
Our office will close for Christmas break December 23-January 1 to allow our employees time to spend with their family and friends!
