Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Trading Operations Specialist to join our investment operations team. In this critical role, you will oversee trade processing, account auditing, and model assignments while ensuring data integrity across multiple custodial platforms.
Your expertise will directly support the success of our advisors and enhance the efficiency of our trading workflows. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Phoenix, AZ. Local candidates only.
Key Responsibilities
Trading & Account Management
- Process model assignments in bulk using Excel-formatted tables, uploading into Orion and Salesforce.
- Audit and manage accounts with security restrictions, ensuring proper placement within the Eclipse trading system and restricted sleeves in Orion Connect.
- Execute trade orders and assist with portfolio rebalancing across custodial platforms (Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing).
- Identify and implement efficiency improvements within trading workflows and auditing processes.
Data Management & Auditing
Ensure accuracy and integrity of trading and account data across systems.Develop and execute account auditing processes to verify trade execution and platform consistency.Troubleshoot and resolve trade discrepancies and operational issues.Support the development of quality control measures to enhance investment operations and compliance.Technology & Systems Utilization
Utilize Orion, Salesforce, and Excel to analyze trading data and manage bulk uploads.Work within Eclipse trading software to facilitate portfolio trades and manage security restrictions.Leverage Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and conditionals to organize and audit data.Navigate custodial platforms (Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing) to process transactions and maintain accounts.Collaboration & Cross-Team Support
Partner with portfolio managers, operations teams, and advisor support specialists to facilitate seamless trading operations.Communicate with custodians and advisors to resolve account-related inquiries and model assignment issues.Contribute insights and recommendations to drive operational efficiency and optimize trading processes.Qualifications & Skills
Required :
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditionals).Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Preferred :
Experience in RIA operations or trading.Familiarity with custodial platforms (Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing).Experience with Orion, Eclipse, and Salesforce platforms.Understanding of trade auditing, portfolio management, and securities regulations.Compensation & Benefits
