Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety standards.
- Buss tables and assist with the setup and breakdown of dining areas before and after meals.
- Support cooks in food production tasks as needed, ensuring timely meal delivery.
- Ensure that all food items are stored properly and that kitchen equipment is cleaned regularly.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and nursing staff regarding resident dietary needs and preferences.
- Participate in training sessions related to food safety, sanitation practices, and dietary regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or cooking is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards.
