We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide/ Dishwasher to join our team at The Residence at Skyway Park. The Dietary Aide will play a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appealing meals while adhering to dietary restrictions and safety standards. This position requires a strong commitment to food handling and sanitation practices, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist in meal preparation and food production according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure all food items are handled, stored, and prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Sanitate work areas, utensils, and equipment to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Help serve meals to residents, ensuring that individual dietary needs are met.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of food served and assist in the planning of menus.
- Support the kitchen team in various tasks as required, demonstrating excellent time management skills.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dietary Aide or similar role in a hospital or nursing home is preferred but not required.
- Food Handler Certification
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Ability to follow recipes and meal preparation guidelines accurately.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards residents and staff.
- Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to work independently when necessary.
