You will be responsible for managing all counter activities and staff so that FCBS provides excellent customer service when meeting the needs of walk-in customers and visitors.
Responsibilities We'll Trust You With
Manage all counter sales activities and employees
Serve as a first point of contact for walk-in visitors and customers.
Promptly answer phones in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner
Responsible for ensuring that all counter activities meet customer needs, calls are answered and returned on time, purchase orders are taken and entered into the system as needed.
Responsible for inventory management in the showroom.
Collaborate closely with the warehouse team to provide timely service to customers.
Forward new opportunities to the appropriate sales team for further development and closing.
As needed, assist customers with loading and unloading their trucks.
Responsible for ensuring Counter employees are trained to meet all requirements of their job
Scheduling staff on the counter as to meet the needs of the business.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Your area of knowledge and expertise:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 10 years of counter sales experience with a lumber yard or similar business
Proven ability to provide consistent, professional customer service.
Skills
Problem-solving skills: listening to, interpreting, and meeting the needs of others; diagnosing and rectifying problems.
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Strong listening and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Ability to work productively in teams with a wide range of people.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Physical Requirements
Frequent carrying and lifting - Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Frequently standing for long periods of time
Work Environment - works inside and in outside weather conditions.
