Role Overview:
The Rental Store Manager plays a pivotal role in creating a positive customer experience and driving the store's operational success by coordinating maintenance schedules, ordering parts, managing sales inventory, and performing routine maintenance on equipment. Additionally, to provide the necessary planning, organization, coordination, and control to meet the established goals and current operating procedures of the store.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Required: High School or equivalent
Preferred: Associate's Degree in management or related field, or equivalent experience in a managerial role (3 years).
Key Responsibilities and other Duties:
Oversee operations of the rental store
Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on rental equipment
Maintain the store's physical condition to company standards
Ensure stock levels and merchandise are supplied
Ensures all equipment is in complete working order before contracts are closed and leaving for rental
Partners with other Store Managers for availability of inventory
As needed, assists with check-ins, deliveries, and pickups of rental equipment during high-volume times
Assists at the front counter and works on Saturday rotations
Provide safety training for proper loading and unloading of equipment
Track and manage employee hours and attendance records
Performance management and employee appraisals
Daily deposits
Team leadership and ongoing employee development
Safe store work practices and use of personal protective equipment
Clear communication and foster a cohesive and collaborative work culture
Exceptional customer service by maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, acknowledging all customers promptly
Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Produce weekly reports for management and participate in team efforts to meet store goals
All other duties assigned by Senior Management
Valid driver's license
Knowledgeable in general sales management practices and procedures, ideally in equipment rental
Must have wide knowledge and understanding of industrial equipment and machinery usage
Experience troubleshooting and mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery
Proficiency in basic computer skills, including MS Office
High safety standards and identify safety hazards
