Four Paws is looking for Veterinary Assistants! We are located at near the beach in Southport, NC. Do you like being part of a fun team that's like a family? Do you enjoy fast paced work that focuses on the needs of their clients and patients? Four Paws might be for you!
We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant with experience in handling pets and proper restraint techniques as well as excellent phone etiquette and people skills. Previous experience working in a Veterinary Hosptial preferred, but we are willing to train.
Duties
- Answering phones to schedule appointments, take medication refill requests and varies other receptionist duties
- Collect patient history to record and report to the doctors on staff
- Prepare rooms for appointments, gather information, chart for the appointments.
- Maintain clean work areas
- Prepare lab samples including but not limited to blood samples, cytology, fecal samples
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to work as a team
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Venipuncture experience a plus!
