Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team in providing exceptional guest experiences at our restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality, making it essential for creating memorable dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
- Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times to guests accurately.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations or providing information as needed.
- Collaborate with the restaurant staff to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring positive guest relations.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential for this role.
- A background in restaurant or hotel environments is beneficial for understanding guest services and relations. Will train right candidate.
