Jellystone Park™ at Lake Monroe is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team and ensure the park remains safe, clean, and fully operational for our guests. This leadership role is ideal for someone who is proactive, organized, and has a well-rounded skill set in general maintenance, landscaping, and facilities management.
Job Overview:
As the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll oversee all aspects of park maintenance, supervise maintenance team members, and ensure that the campground's facilities, equipment, and grounds are maintained to the highest standards. This is a seasonal position with both part-time and full-time availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team in day-to-day operations
- Perform and delegate routine maintenance on buildings, cabins, infrastructure, and recreational areas
- Maintain campground grounds: mowing, trimming, landscaping, and debris removal
- Conduct safety inspections of facilities, playgrounds, and equipment, addressing hazards quickly
- Monitor and perform maintenance on equipment, including lawnmowers, tractors, vehicles, and tools
- Coordinate emergency repairs and respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues
- Oversee cleanliness and sanitation of restrooms, bathhouses, and shared public spaces
- Assist guests with maintenance-related concerns in a professional, courteous manner
- Ensure all safety procedures and campground standards are followed
- Maintain organized records and communicate maintenance needs to park management
- Train and mentor maintenance team members as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in general maintenance, facilities management, or groundskeeping required
- Strong knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
- Comfortable using power tools, small machinery, and maintenance equipment
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and respond to occasional off-hours issues
- Must have reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in campground, RV park, or hospitality settings
- Familiarity with operating and servicing tractors, mowers, and similar machinery
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain a maintenance schedule
