Four Rivers Behavioral Health currently has a full-time position available for a Medical Office Biller/Credentialing Specialist. Duties include (but not limited to):
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinating billing and collection activities.
Assisting and resolving issues including consumer billing, communications with health insurance companies and MCO’s and collections.
Ensures the accuracy of billing insurance providers and consumers.
Documents, reports and re-bills medical billing denials.
Credentialing of service providers.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of Federal and State regulations including HIPAA regulations. Billing Experience for a CMHC is preferred.
Knowledge of Electronic Health Records Systems and billing systems (experience with Credible preferred).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work proactively with others.
Education and Experience
This position will answer to the Finance Department and may serve under the job description of either Staff Accountant or Accounting Assistant. A bachelors degree in a field related to finance is required to serve under the title of Staff Accountant and a High School Diploma along with relevant experience is required to serve under the job title of Accounting Assistant.
