Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Garage Door Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of garage doors. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Garage Door Installer will be responsible for ensuring that all installations meet safety standards and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain garage doors, openers, and related hardware.
- Perform electrical work related to garage door systems.
- Execute trim carpentry tasks to ensure proper fit and finish of installations.
- Conduct locksmithing duties when necessary for secure installations.
- Assist with cabinet installation as needed for integrated systems.
- Engage in metal stud framing for structural support of installations.
- Handle heavy lifting of garage door components and equipment safely.
- Install glass panels in garage doors where applicable.
- Hang doors accurately to ensure smooth operation.
- Utilize hand tools effectively and safely during installation processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at job sites.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in garage door installation or related fields such as carpentry or construction.
- Strong skills in electrical work, trim carpentry, locksmithing, cabinet installation, metal stud framing, and glass installation are highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with the role.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in the installation process.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Valid driver's license is preferred.
