2ND ASSISTANT GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT
The Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i is looking for a 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our teams’ have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required.
What You’ll Do
Under general supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, participates and assists in supervising all maintenance programs for the golf course, which include, but not limited to the following:

What You’ll Do
Under general supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, participates and assists in supervising all maintenance programs for the golf course, which include, but not limited to the following:
- Conducts individual and business affairs in highest ethical and legal fashion.
- Establishes and contributes to supportive, creative, enthusiastic, and cooperative working environment for all.
- Develops specific objectives and performance standards; responsible for regularly providing progress reports including real time feedback and progressive discipline when needed.
- Builds strong communication links with supervisors, peers, employees, and community representatives.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Trains, directs and supervises the maintenance of greens, traps, tees, fairways, bodies of water, roughs, maintenance shop and yard, clubhouse grounds and associated areas to exacting standards.
- Oversees operation and maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems.
- Trains and instructs employees on the operation and care of mowing and other equipment.
- Supervises pesticide application and calibration of pesticide application equipment. Supervises fertilizer formulations and applications.
- Assist with oversight of maintenance and repair of motorized and other mechanical equipment.
- Assists in daily planning of maintenance work and layout of golf course construction (if any).
- Aids in maintaining security of golf course property and buildings.
- Maintains good public relations with customers and the community.
- Plays and understands the game of golf.
- Helps to develop the maintenance plan.
- Aids in inventory and purchasing supplies and materials within budgetary limitations.

- Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
- Two or more years of supervisory experience in the golf maintenance industry.
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Working knowledge of the maintenance of golf course tees, fairways, greens; the seeding and maintenance practices for golf course turf; the planting, cultivating, pruning, and caring for plants, shrubs and trees; the characteristics and proper use of various fertilizers and soil conditioners; herbicides and pest control methods and materials; drainage control methods; and irrigation system, including wells, pumps and automatic controls.
- Valid driver’s license
- Salary Range: $55,000-$60,000
