Description
Four Seasons Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing and Electrical is seeking a Inventory Control Specialist for our Elgin IL and Bedford Park IL Warehouse Locations.
As Inventory Control Specialist you will be responsible for monitoring and managing a company's stock levels by tracking inventory movements, conducting physical counts, maintaining accurate records, and ordering new stock to ensure products are available when needed. Your key duties include receiving deliveries, verifying quantities, storing items properly, and resolving any discrepancies with inventory data.
Pay Range: $26-$28 hourly
Key responsibilities:
Regularly monitor stock levels across all products using inventory management systems to identify reorder points and prevent stockouts.
Conduct periodic physical inventory checks to verify accuracy of stock against system records and identify discrepancies.
Inspect incoming deliveries for quantity and quality, verifying against purchase orders and updating inventory records accordingly.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse layout, ensuring proper storage and accessibility of products.
Initiate purchase orders for new inventory based on demand forecasts and reorder points.
Accurately input inventory data into the system, including product details, quantities, and location information.
Conduct periodic inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
Generate inventory reports on stock levels, usage trends, and potential issues to inform decision-making.
Inspect products for damage during receiving and storage, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
Additional responsibilities include fleet stock and physical inventory.
Required Skills:
Attention to detail: Accuracy in data entry and inventory counts is crucial.
Numerical skills: Ability to calculate stock levels, reorder points, and analyze inventory data.
Computer proficiency: Familiarity with inventory management systems and data entry applications.
Organizational skills: Efficiently managing warehouse space and stock rotation.
Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies and supply chain issues.
Effective communication with other departments regarding stock availability and orders.
Work Environment:
Primarily based in a warehouse environment, with potential for physical activity such as lifting and moving inventory.
May involve working with various warehouse equipment like forklifts (depending on the role)
