Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
FT, PT, PRN: Full time
Shift: 40 hours per week, 9:00AM-6:00PM, Tuesday - Saturday
Location: Hospice Home Store – Arden, NC

Position Summary:
The Home Store Assistant Manager provides excellent customer service not only to Home Store customers but to volunteers, staff, and donors at all times by creating an inviting and warm atmosphere. He/she assists the General Manger and Operations Manager to oversee the daily operation of Four Seasons Hospice Home Store. He/she helps to supervise paid staff and volunteers. He/she assists the General Manager and Operations Manager in maintaining store standards through operations and organization of the store, as well as establishing steps to attain and meet store goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Work to achieve performance goals, pursue progress toward individual development plan (IDP) and demonstrate Four Seasons values and competencies
· Understand care, treatment, services & responsibilities of staff and volunteers under their supervision
- Assists Store Manager in overseeing the day to day operations of the Home Store
- Direct the store with the guidance from the Home Store General Manager
- Work to build relationships in our service areas to promote the store in order to increase donations and sales
- Work closely with the volunteer department to obtain new volunteers and to retain current volunteer base
- Ensure adequate staffing coverage by supervising paid staff, volunteers and drivers
- Maintain store inventory by sorting, pricing and stocking donations
- Create inviting store environment for customers by arranging and creating displays to include store promotions
- Assure reasonable pricing of donations by researching pricing on antiques and collectables
- Availability and potential to work in multiple retail locations, to include the Warehouse and Home Store 2

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED
Experience:
- Minimum of three years of retail experience
- Supervisory experience
- Some driving and loading of delivery and/or large vehicles (Must be 21 years old to operate a delivery and/or large vehicle.)
Licensures & Certifications: (if applicable)
- Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance
Summary of Physical Requirements:

Other Duties:
- Assist in overseeing website changes that pertain to the Home Store
- Assist in overseeing eBay sales by placing items on eBay and shipping sold items to customers
- Handle operational tasks such as counting out register daily, making up the bank deposit and completing daily banking and financial spread sheets with assistance from or in the absence of Store Manager
- Assist in sales by running the register, listening to customer needs, restocking/racking merchandize as needed
- Adhere to the policies and procedures established for the Home Store
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the values of the organization
- Perform other, yet similar, duties as assigned
- Understand care, treatment, services & responsibilities of staff under their supervision
