Position Overview
The Assistant Production Manager plays a critical role in coordinating and managing roofing projects from start to finish. This position involves working closely with the Production Manager, field crews, and customers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to our high-quality standards. This is a hands-on role that requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Assist in planning and scheduling roofing and exterior renovation projects, ensuring materials, equipment, and labor are properly allocated.
- Site Management: Conduct site visits as needed to monitor job progress, ensure quality control, and enforce safety protocols.
- Team Leadership: Support field crews by providing guidance, problem-solving issues, and ensuring adherence to project timelines.
- Customer Communication: Serve as a point of contact for customers, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive client experience.
- Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Work with suppliers and subcontractors to manage pricing, manage material deliveries and ensure availability of necessary resources.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project records, including job progress reports, change orders, and incident reports.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for increased efficiency in project management and workflow, recommending improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1 years in roofing, construction, project management, or a related field preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with roofing systems, materials, and construction best practices is a plus.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and customers.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
- Technology: Basic proficiency in project management software, spreadsheets, and scheduling tools is beneficial.
- Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
