Mechanical CAD Technician
Description:
We are seeking two full-time detail-oriented Mechanical CAD (Computer-Aided Design) Technicians to create, maintain and modify design plans. The CAD Technician’s responsibilities include understanding written and verbal instructions, drafting technical specifications and blueprints, optimizing designs, and ensuring all projects are completed within the stipulated timelines. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Revit software with ability to operate AutoCAD, have excellent attention to detail, and possess strong problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
Creating detailed Revit and CAD drawings for construction and manufacturing purposes.
Converting existing design plans into Revit and CAD drawings.
Collaborating with architects, engineers, designers, and project managers to obtain project specifications and details.
Ensuring drawings are produced within project timelines and meet quality standards.
Documenting and maintaining all Revit and CAD files and associated records.
Resolving design and development problems.
Requirements
Proven work experience as a CAD Technician or similar role for 5 years.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other design software.
Understands and knowledgeable on BIM (Building Information Modeling) projects.
Prefer HVAC and Plumbing design experience.
Excellent technical design skills.
Good mathematical abilities.
Ability to meet strict deadlines.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Wages:
- $49,920 – $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
Location:
Job is in office, remote or hybrid. May be required to travel to site locations.
Shift:
40 hours per week. Standard workdays and hours of FourFront Design Inc are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Flexibility in schedule considered if job duties are satisfactorily met.
